Supplements and Your Meal Plan

There are billions of dollars spent each year on meal and dietary supplements, from vitamins to protein bars and even those magic weight loss pills sold over the counter (are you sick of those yet?).

The most important thing you need to understand, how is what you are taking really benefiting or supporting your overall fitness or health goals. Make sure you READ the labels and look for clean products that still support a healthy meal plan.

Multivitamins can be excellent choice to fill in any nutrient holes from your eating plan and sometimes protein powders as well as protein supplements can help support, a busy lifestyle.  Be careful.  I am willing to bet that there is not a supplement company out there that won’t tell you that their product isn’t the best – ever.  On top of that they will have “studies” to prove their points.

Take the time to investigate what is true and what is not.  If you don’t have the time…either don’t buy it or find someone else to do it for you.

You can also do what I did.  I found a company that made a line of product that I would have if I had the time and resources.

As professionals in the fitness industry we all have our favorites.  Mine is http://everyone.getprograde.com

Be Thankful and Be Fit

Being thankful will not only change your mood but change your health.  All to often I hear complaints of being too fat or out of shape.  Sure there are millions upon millions of people NOT experiencing life with perfect body.  You might be one of them.

Diets, workouts, supplements, workout equipment and the like are all part of a growing industry called Health and Wellness and it is fast on its way to being a TRILLION dollar market place.  We spend like crazy for that smaller dress size or bigger pecs.

Have you ever been thankful for what you do have and thankful for the fact that you can change it?  Are you thankful for other aspects of your life.

I challenge you to think of one thing you are thankful for and write it down.  “Uhhhh, hhhhhmmm, well I guess I’m thankful for……”
Great!  What you will find is that you will think of a second thing,  then a third – then many many things.

Did you know there have been studies that found when people kept what is called a Gratitude Journal the results where that of increased immune funtion and many other PHYSICAL benefits!

He Shouldn’t Be Doing This…REALLY!

I have great respect for Jayson Hunter. As many of you know (because his program is the ONLY one I promote) I have had tremendous results with my clients and Jayson’s Carb Rotation Diet.

Jayson had already created a terrific program that can be followed 90% of the time – FOR THE LONG HAUL. With that said I come from the school of thought “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it”. I think Jayson might have lost his mind, sorry…still love ya Jayson but it’s true.

Why am I saying this?

Jayson is giving away the farm, and the kitchen sink and what ever other phrase you can come up with.

This is just the beginning:

Disturbing Fact You Might Not Like

Fitness pros get a bad rap at times. And hey, sometimes it’s well deserved. It’s
unfortunate, but there are still way too many “meat head” trainers who are more
interested in looking at themselves in a mirror than they are in their own
clients.

But we also take heat at times for being too interested in looks and appearance
than health and wellness.

Well, I’m going to fill you in on a little secret.  We’ve tried to market our
businesses by educating people about the health benefits of proper nutrition and
exercise. We’d love for people to care more about their health than how they
look.

Unfortunately, and this holds true for the vast majority of people, they only
care about their health once they’ve lost it.

Think about that for a little bit.

I can tell you right now the unscrupulous marketers online are making a FORTUNE
promoting these Acai Berry pills right now. And they are able to do that because

Pareto’s Law of Fitness

Who?

Most have heard of the 80/20 rule as it applies to sales.  Vilfredo Pareto’s (1848 – 1923) law of income distribution was and still is ridiculously predictable.

Pareto’s brilliance dictates that 80% of sales comes from 20% of customers.  After closer inspection most businesses find this not only true but sometimes skewed even further – 90/10, 95/5 or even 99/1.

Stick with me on this one…I promise I will tie it in to fitness in general and most importantly how it relates to two things:  1.)  Why this principle will directly affect your ability to lose fat while working out at home.  2)  How this principle is the underlying reason why you have had trouble getting in shape in the past.
