Supplements and Your Meal Plan

There are billions of dollars spent each year on meal and dietary supplements, from vitamins to protein bars and even those magic weight loss pills sold over the counter (are you sick of those yet?).

The most important thing you need to understand, how is what you are taking really benefiting or supporting your overall fitness or health goals. Make sure you READ the labels and look for clean products that still support a healthy meal plan.

Multivitamins can be excellent choice to fill in any nutrient holes from your eating plan and sometimes protein powders as well as protein supplements can help support, a busy lifestyle.  Be careful.  I am willing to bet that there is not a supplement company out there that won’t tell you that their product isn’t the best – ever.  On top of that they will have “studies” to prove their points.

Take the time to investigate what is true and what is not.  If you don’t have the time…either don’t buy it or find someone else to do it for you.

You can also do what I did.  I found a company that made a line of product that I would have if I had the time and resources.

As professionals in the fitness industry we all have our favorites.  Mine is http://everyone.getprograde.com

Diets, workouts, supplements, workout equipment and the like are all part of a growing industry called Health and Wellness and it is fast on its way to being a TRILLION dollar market place.  We spend like crazy for that smaller dress size or bigger pecs.

Have you ever been thankful for what you do have and thankful for the fact that you can change it?  Are you thankful for other aspects of your life.

I challenge you to think of one thing you are thankful for and write it down.  “Uhhhh, hhhhhmmm, well I guess I’m thankful for……”
Great!  What you will find is that you will think of a second thing,  then a third – then many many things.

Did you know there have been studies that found when people kept what is called a Gratitude Journal the results where that of increased immune funtion and many other PHYSICAL benefits!
